Red Crab is a magnificent Atlantic crustacean that lives at depths of around 1000 metres in waters with a temperature of 4ºC.
Red Crab (Chaceon maritae) belongs to a genus comprising more than 30 species widely distributed throughout the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, some of which are highly prized in gastronomy, such as our Red Crab, caught in the Southeast Atlantic Ocean at depths of between 600 and 1200 metres using traditional and modern fishing techniques with pots that preserve the seabed.
Our product is processed on board, graded by size and cooked in seawater without additives before being deep-frozen, all within less than 6 hours of being caught, to preserve its full freshness and texture and delight even the most discerning palates.
