King Crab

King Crab has many health benefits. Its meat is rich in protein content with more than a 19% of high biological value, highly recommended for athletes, but it is also very interesting for low-calories diets (only provides 91 kcal per 100 grams of consumed product), and also it contains multiple vitamins and minerals.

In addition, one of the main benefits for our health is that it provides a large amount of omega-3 polyunsaturated fat acids, present in blue fish, nuts and certain vegetable oils, such as olive oil. In fact, according to the Spanish Heart Foundation (FEC) the consumption of Omega 3 contributes to maintaining normal cholesterol levels.

On the other hand, the meat of this fabulous crustacean contains a high percentage of group B vitamins, which are important for protein metabolism. It helps the formation of red blood cells and the maintenance of the central nervous system.

Our body needs 90 essential nutrients to perform its biological functions. Of these, two thirds are minerals. They are necessary for all biological processes and to have good health.

King Crab contains a significant amount in Copper, Zinc, Potassium, Phosphorus and Magnesium, minerals and trace elements important in many metabolic processes.

The health benefits of Snow Crab are varied. First of all, it is a food rich in quality protein ideal for athletes. Also, it is a good food for low-calorie diets due its very low caloric content (109 Kcal / 100 g serving).

On the other hand, our body needs about 90 essential nutrients to carry out its biological functions. Of these, two thirds are minerals that must be replaced daily to counteract the loss of them through urine or sweat and the metabolic functions of our body. In this sense, the Snow Crab is a true natural reservoir, and therefore its regular consumption is more than desirable. Among others, it contains copper and selenium, whose presence is very high in the meat of the Snow Crab.

In addition, regular consumption of this food will provide us with a good dose of the so-called macro minerals, which are those that our body needs in a greater proportion such as phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium and sodium and whose deficit in our body can cause us digestive problems. Snow Crab also has a high content of iron, essential for the transport of oxygen in our body, and zinc, necessary for our immune system.

In terms of vitamins, the meat of the Snow Crab is rich in vitamin C, but especially in some of group B, such as B3, B5 and B6.

It should not be forgotten that the Snow Crab contains a negligible amount of saturated fat acids, although it does have a high percentage of polyunsaturated fats type Omega 3, whose consumption is essential to maintain cholesterol at optimal levels.

Deep Sea Red Crab

The Red Crab is also a crustacean with a high protein value and a low caloric content (83 kcal / 100g), making it a very interesting food for athletes and those who are following a low-calorie diet.
